Eleni and Souzana Vougioukli studied piano, guitar, advanced theory of music, classical song, Byzantine music and jazz. They are professionally engaged in music, including singing, instrument-playing, composition and lyrics, investigating the potential of human voice as innate musical instrument. They sing in 15 languages and dialects either a cappella or playing instruments themselves and their repertoire, consisting of classic, diachronic songs, includes Greek songs, all traditional, rembetica and contemporary, fado, Spanish, Turkish, ROMA, Serbian, Boulgarian, Pomak, Arabic, country, jazz and blues. They performed in the USA, Turkey, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Italy and Greece and they co-operated with important Greek musicians and singers such as M. Farandouri and V. Lekkas, Since 2004 they have been involved in drama research with the company AlmaKalma, acting as performers- singers.
